Who are you?

Just little ol' Mindyluwho. My husband calls me that. He gives all his favorite people funny monikers. Mindyluwho is, of course, a take off of Cindy Lou Who (who is no more than two) from Dr. Suess's, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I love the version with Boris Karloff as narrator. My husband's favorite book by Dr. Suess is The Sneetches. (That reminds me of when I was driving down the street once and I saw a girl walking by with a star tatoo around her belly button. All I could think of was "The Star-Belly Sneetches had bellies with stars, but the Plain-Belly Sneetches had none upon thars!")

I'm rambling.

Anyway... this post was to tell you that I'm changing the name of my blog back to Mindyluwho. I'm tired of being Under Construction...on so many levels. I want to move myself past the construction phase and into...another phase. Actually I'd really like to be under construction on my new house, but it's looking like that may never happen, or at least not for a long time...sigh...and the name Under Construction just seems to harsh for me with roses on my background and all. I've been trying to think of a new name, but haven't hit on one that describes me yet.

Tomorrow (or rather today, since it's past midnight) I'm going to see this movie.

Since I'm rambling...I stayed up until 3am reading Les Miserables on Monday. I'm now at the last book, Jean Valjean. I love this part of the novel. It's heartwrenching but extremely moving. Last time after I finished reading it I sobbed off and on for days.

After we finish Les Mis, we're going to read Alas, Babylon. I love this book. I read it several years ago. It's set during the Cold War and depicts how a community survived after a nuclear war set their civilization back 200 years. It will make you want your food storage! (I just had to get a plug in there somehow!)

Signing off now!

Your new blog name is quite fitting! You mean you don't want a background of hard hats and hammers? :D

Alas, Babylon sounds very interesting. I think a trip to the library is in order.

I'm supposed to go to the cannery tomorrow!

I love the roses in your background, but coming from me, that shouldn't be too surprising! :)

Thanks for the food storage plug! I'm doing pretty good with it, but I really need to take an inventory and make sure that everything is well balanced, nutrition wise.

Let us know how the movie is! :)

I'm glad you switched back to Mindyluwho because I love it!
I can relate to the wanting to start building a new house, but who knows when it will ever happen!
How was the movie?
Have a great weekend!

Yeah, Min! Everything you do is great to me, so of course I love the new name! I am finally going to start reading Les Mis...you've intrigued me. Any book that can make someone cry for days afterwards has got to be good...

I owned the Sneetches book as a child and loved it too! I think we can learn a lot from that book about being coveting others. We tend to do that these days.

I miss you guys!

Tell everyone I love them.

I NEVER get tired of watching The Sneetches! I ♥ it big time! The Lorax is good, too! :D

The ONLY version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas that I will watch is the original one, narrated by Boris Karloff. It's great!

I really like your blog name! :)
